The Learning Curve
While recording a podcast for a client, it became clear that background noise and echo were distracting for the listener. Instead of relying on post-production software, I figured a sound processor might help when paired with my DAT deck and MacBook.
Unfortunately, I didn’t do my homework—and ended up with a unit that wasn’t compatible with the rest of my setup. In fact, judging by the connectors on the back, it wasn’t compatible with much at all, aside from matching Technics components!
Oh well, you live and learn. Luckily, I managed to sell it to someone who needed a replacement for their broken unit—so it all worked out in the end!
