From my personal collection. Regrettably selling after almost 40 years!

Please note that the integral grilles are somewhat dusty (they have been used in a room with a 'real' fire for many years) and there is one small dent on the front cabinet as shown in the pics. Shipped in original box.

The Mission 70 is a standout, state-of-the-art loudspeaker.

The goal behind its design was simple: build the smallest speaker possible that could still cover the full audible frequency range. The result is a genuinely hi-fi system that handles music with huge dynamic ranges even digital master tape while staying clear and consistent at any volume.

It’s worth noting that many speakers only sound exciting when you crank them up. Unfortunately, a lot of Hi-Fi systems end up sounding not much better than a transistor radio at low volume. That’s why cheaper amps often include a “loudness” button to artificially boost the sound. Mission avoids these shortcuts by focusing on solid engineering instead of gimmicks.

The 70 uses a layered cabinet construction to control resonance, along with a sculpted MDF baffle. The bass driver is a high-quality Mission unit with a unique cone design, paired with a 19 mm ferrofluid-damped dome tweeter.

Its crossover is a full multi-component design using Mission’s own electrolytic capacitors and low-saturation inductors. The drivers are arranged in Mission’s signature inverted layout, which creates an outstanding three-dimensional stereo image. Every part of the design works together to deliver wide bandwidth and clean soud, free from unwanted resonances, distortion, frequency dips, or colouration.

Mission recommends using the 70s on bookshelves or stands, with amplifiers rated between 20 and 75 watts per channel.
